GI Metalliferous Surface Refresher (Inclusive of GI Fire and GI First Aid)
Objectives
GI Metalliferous Surface Refresher is a course that focuses on refreshing participant understanding of information in the core day of the GI Safety Induction program. The aim of the course is to re-affirm a participant’s knowledge and currency in the key concepts of hazard management.
Target Learner
Metalliferous mine workers that are due to renew their GI Core passport. Can not complete if GI passport expiry is more than 3 months.

The course involves the participation in completing the following risk management based case studies:
- Drilling
- Inspection of a work area
- Accident investigation
