  • Understanding of the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • First aid management of major and minor injury and illnesses
  • Awareness of stress management techniques and available support
  • Social and legal issues
  • Approach to an incident
  • Airway and breathing management
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • The secondary survey (examination of a patient)
  • Medical emergencies
  • Trauma injuries
  • Preparing incident reports
  • Evaluating own response and making improvement where required
