CSQ Funded Training available – 2017-2018

Are you an existing worker in the building and construction industry looking to learn new and important skills that will help you to further your career in construction?
WorkSafe Connect is excited to announce that funding is available for a range of construction related courses for the 2017-18 period. This funding comes via Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) and for this reason it is only available to certain Queensland-based individuals or companies that meet certain eligibility criteria.
The Short Courses program provides funding to assist with upskilling and cross skilling existing workers in the building and construction industry. Short Courses are individual competencies and skills sets designed to provide flexible solutions to workers wanting to update their skills and knowledge in specific and targeted areas.
Please note funding is not available for all courses. Before applying, we encourage you to give us a call in either Brisbane - 07 3277 3282 or Townsville - 07 4728 9866 to discuss the funded training options you may be eligible for.
Funding is currently available for the following courses:
- Asbestos General Awareness Training (non-accredited)
- Supervise Asbestos Removal
- Remove Non-Friable Asbestos
- Remove Friable Asbestos
- Licence to Perform Dogging
- Licence to Operate a Personnel and Materials Hoist
- Licence to Perform Rigging Basic Level
- Licence to Perform Rigging Intermediate Level
- Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Basic Level
- Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Intermediate Level
- Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Advanced Level
- Licence to Operate a Tower Crane
- Licence to Operate a Self-Erecting Tower Crane
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Licence to Operate a Vehicle Loading Crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and above)
- Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck
- Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform
- (boom length 11 metres or more)
- Licence to Operate a Non-Slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity)
- Licence to Operate a Slewing Mobile Crane (up to 20 tonnes)
- Licence to Operate a Slewing Mobile Crane (up to 60 tonnes)
- Licence to Operate a Slewing Mobile Crane (up to 100 tonnes)
- Licence to Operate a Slewing Mobile Crane (over 100 tonnes)
- Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel
- Workplace Health and Safety Representative (WHSQ short course - non-accredited)
