New Reach Stacker High Risk Licence- Queensland - 1 January 2017

Transitional provisions under Queensland Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 will effect operators of Reach Stackers from 1 January 2017 onwards.

Under the regulations, a person holding a non-slewing mobile crane licence will be able to continue high risk work for the reach stacker class until 31 December 2016.

The reach stacker licence covers powered reach stackers (with a capacity of three tonnes or more) that have an attachment for lifting, lowering, moving and travelling with a shipping container.

From 1 January 2017, the Reach Stacker high risk work licence class must be held for the operation of a reach stacker.
