Safe Work Month - October - Start planning now

11/04/2019

Join Queensland's Safety Ambassador Shane Webcke and a host of work health and safety experts, celebrities and industry success stories, and show your commitment to improving work health and safety this October during Safe Work Month. With a range of community and professional development events to choose from, there's something for everyone.

Last year Work Place Health and Safety Queensland released the highly acclaimed Playing it safe with Shane Webcke video. At WorkSafe Connect we have made this video a key resource in many of our training sessions and would strongly recommend everyone take the time to watch the video.

Statewide breakfast forums

Breakfast forums will be held at regional centres around the state - this year addressing leadership, culture and return on investment. Each will feature Safety Ambassador, Shane Webcke, keynote speaker Paul Spinks and journalist, author and commentator Madonna King as Master of Ceremonies. Queensland businesses who've turned around their safety performance will also share the secrets of their success with tips for delegates to implement in their workplace.

Injury Prevention and Return to Work Conference

Brisbane will host the Injury Prevention and Return to Work Conference at the Royal International Convention Centre on 19 October. Focusing on safety and return to work leadership, culture and return on investment, the program features a range of experts and industry leaders providing you with a professional development opportunity not to be missed. The latest addition to the program is our own Olympic legend Libby Trickett, who will speak about her passion for raising awareness of mental health in the workplace. Tickets are selling quickly, so register now to secure your seat. Find out more about our presenters.
