
CSQ Funded Training
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ)

CSQ is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers and career seekers in the building and construction industry. For those who permanently work in Queensland in the building and construction industry, there is a CSQ funding available across a number of short courses.
Eligibility Overview
The key eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Right to work in Australia;
- Be 15 years or older;
- An employee or self-employed worker, who can demonstrate primary and substantial direct involvement in the:
- The Queensland Building and Construction Industry doing:
- Construction, significant renovations & extensions on residential and commercial buildings
- Installation services for interiors of residential and commercial buildings in associated trades (electrical, plumbing, flooring etc)
- Works on a Major Infrastructure Project
- The Queensland Civil Construction Industry doing:
- Land development and site preparation for the purpose of construction
- Works for civil infrastructure
- Works on a Major Infrastructure Project
- The Queensland Building and Construction Industry doing:
- For unemployed participants, they must meet the above requirements and have been unemployed for no greater than 6 months, in Queensland.
- Must not complete more than 8 CSQ-funded short courses or more than 3 high-risk work (HRW) units or more than 3 mobile plant operator units during the current contract period (1 Oct 25 to 30 Sep 26).
Application Process
Each student will need to complete a CSQ Eligibility Application and supply the required evidence using the online form below.
Once submitted, the application will be reviewed by WorkSafe Connect's Compliance Team and you'll be advised if the application meets CSQ's eligibility requirements.
All applications must be received, complete and approved PRIOR TO COURSE COMMENCEMENT.
