Active Armed Offender training focuses on the key role that you can play in developing and implementing appropriately informed preparedness and response arrangements to reduce the risks posed by the threat of active armed offenders. It reflects the guidelines established by the Australia New Zealand Counter- Terrorism Committee (ANZCTC) and focuses on key areas including:
Procedures – Ensure dedicated procedures are in place to reduce the risks posed by the threat of active armed offenders
Training – Undertake training to respond to an active armed offender incident
Assistance – Have on hand and use active armed offender safety posters
Safety – ESCAPE if you can, otherwise SHELTER IN PLACE, and prepare to TAKE ACTION to protect life
