About the Course
Supervisor Safety Leadership Course – Face-to-Face or Online
WorkSafe Connect’s Supervisor Safety Leadership Course is a practical, trainer-supported program delivered either face-to-face or live online via Zoom in an interactive electronic classroom.
Designed for supervisors, team leaders, forepersons and emerging leaders, this course provides practical skills and knowledge to effectively manage workplace health and safety responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld).
Using real-world workplace scenarios and interactive activities, participants develop confidence in three core supervisory areas:
- Risk management, hazard identification and control implementation
- Effective workplace communication and consultation
- Incident investigation and response
There are no course entry requirements, no pre-course study and no post-course evidence to provide.
Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency:
- RIIRIS301E – Apply Risk Management Processes
- RIIRIS402E – Carry out the Risk Management Process
- RIICOM301E – Communicate Information
- RIIWHS301E – Conduct Safety and Health Investigation
Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), employers must ensure workers — including supervisors — are trained and competent to identify hazards, manage risks, communicate safety requirements, and respond appropriately to workplace incidents.
This course supports those obligations by providing practical supervisory skills that can be applied across construction, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, infrastructure, maintenance and general industry environments.
WorkSafe Connect has delivered workplace health and safety training programs across Queensland for more than 15 years. Our experienced trainers bring practical operational and supervisory experience, ensuring training remains relevant, engaging and directly applicable to real workplace environments.
